The National Police have arrested in Venezuela the property promoter Andrés Liétor , the only person sentenced under “Operation Malaya ‘who had not yet entered prison due to him being in missing since May 2014. He has a pending sentence of more than two years in prison.
Police said at the time that agents had no record of Spanish this fugitive being present in Venezuelan territory, however an international arrest warrant was issued.
The request for the warrant was submitted by both the Ministry of Interior of Spain in Venezuela and the Central Bureau of INTERPOL-Madrid.
He is charged with the crimes of money laundering, active bribery, breach of trust and fraud involved in the plot of urban corruption in Marbella.
A.L.M., who spent more than two years missing, was finally located in May in Venezuela.
